My priorities/visions are:
Cottbus lives from communities and commitment, which seems unusual for Brandenburg, but in the wake of increasing disenchantment with politicians offers the opportunity to utilise existing structures.
Seeking contact with citizens instead of having decisions made by long-established entrepreneurs in committees, creating spaces in which networking and dialogue can be fruitfully conducted and in which all interest groups can be heard are my goals and ideas for a democratic debate on the issues of our time and, above all, the future.
Commitment to date:
Since 2008, I have been involved on a voluntary basis in the Cottbus subculture, namely in Muggefug e.V.; I am therefore used to high levels of stress and despair, and I have also got out of the habit of expecting help from outside.
Consequently, a parliamentary mandate was the next logical step. I still bear the responsibility that I was saddled with today with almost three thousand first votes.
Concrete project:
Sustainable urban design begins with citizens taking back public spaces. Car-free city centres have a positive effect on the cityscape and tourism, demonstrably promote the retail trade and form the basis for encounters and discourse.
Cottbus does not need to be associated with its urban planning faculty.
Grassroots initiatives and alternative housing projects are absolutely worthy of support, create diversity, opportunities for co-determination and, above all, spaces for young cultures and lifestyles, thus increasing the quality of life in the city and, above all, its attractiveness for younger professionals.
Professional experience: As a registered nurse, I experienced the waves of the pandemic and all the achievements of an ailing healthcare system. I liked this so much that I started working in the catering industry shortly afterwards.
